For nearly a quarter of a century Royal Watan has been a fixture on Birmigham's Indian dining scene. The Selly Park restaurant specializes in traditional balti dishes from the heart of Kashmir with an extensive choice on offer. Spices are freshly ground and dishes made to order with most of the balti dishes priced around the £6 mark.

The Royal Watan is BYO which means you can bring your own alcohol or stick with their in-house range of soft drinks. There is an also an outside catering service and facilities for hosting special functions and events. It's open seven days a week from 5pm until late and has a free home delivery service within a three mile radius. Teachers, nurses, police, firemen and BBC staff all get a 10% discount.
