Sachins Restaurant

Forth Banks, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE1 3SG

At Sachins you will not only master the art of eating Punjabi style but simply revel in the sheer enthusiasm of the staff. Spread over two floors, the dining area decorated with terracotta pots, polka dotted flooring and a life size image depicts a busy Indian road, an up-close-and-personal experience of real India. An assorted platter of five tandoori dishes to start could be followed by a main course of murg karahi, diced chicken cooked in Punjabi spices tossed in a wok over a bed of onions, or the Mughlai Akbari, tender lamb simmered in lightly whisked egg, nuts, fresh cream and sauce. King prawns and monkfish feature in the seafood section and is served pot roasted with tomatoes, ginger, capsicum and coriander, or marinated, barbecued and cooked in a medium spiced sauce.

REVIEWS OF Sachins Restaurant

Sue Shaw (16 October 2009)

With a friend I had dinner at Sachins on a Tuesday night in October. It was absolutely superb, we had their speciality king size prawn dish and I have never had such succulent prawns outside of Asia, and the sauce was quite simply divine. The service was attentive, efficient and delightful. It is highly recommended and I will certainly return.

Sarah Johnson (12 February 2009)

I recently went to Sachins Restaurant after many recommendations just to see what my friends were all raving about. I soon found out. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff and we were guided through the menu. In a nutshell the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The Peshwari naan was the best I have ever eaten. I will definitely be back with all my friends.
