Salieri Restaurant
376 Strand, Covent Garden, London, WC2R 0LQ
The sheer flamboyance of the décor matches expertly with the food at Salieri , right from the potted plants and the masks and theatre memorabilia to the French and Mediterranean inspired cuisine. Proximity to the Strand colours the interior with theatrical nostalgia; photographs, mirrors, gold curtains and antiquity style statues are part of this extravaganza. The theatre menu offers immense value for a Central London restaurant and is a popular alternative for diners. The à la carte could bring starters of smoked salmon and crayfish with mixed leaf salad and dressing followed by cutlets of Welsh lamb with oriental rice and grilled courgettes. Other interesting options for main course include slow cooked leg of pork glazed with honey and brandy or whole lobster Thermidor. The sheer flamboyance of the décor matches expertly with the food at Salieri, right from the potted plants and the masks and theatre memorabilia to the French and Mediterranean inspired cuisine. The global wine list has some exciting choices, some reasonably priced, and others still within reach.

REVIEWS OF Salieri Restaurant
Barbara Cook (15 August 2010)
I booked for myself and two friends on Saturday of August 2010 to have a meal before going to the evening performance of Eno's Cinderella at the nearby London Coliseum. I chose it using Restaurant-Guide.com which I've used before on Theatre Trips and what a great choice I made! Our train to London was delayed and we were nearly an hour late arriving but Sam and his staff at Salieri's were so helpful and accommodating to us. The food was fantastic and the service so slick that our whole evening was made really special - Thank you so much and I recommend this restaurant unreservedly and will return soon.
Jane Lawrence (9 February 2008)
We went there with some friends on a weekday after going to the cinema and thoroughly enjoyed the food and noticed it was of great value. We will be there again soon.

Nando's - Covent Garden
With quality food, friendly staff, quick service and excellent value for money, Nando's is a great place to eat. Don't expect identikit, pre-fab restaurant interiors which are usually a staple of the larger chains; each restaurant is tailored to its local surroundings and customers, offering up a unique restaurant experience to go with the equally unique taste of legendary, Portuguese, Peri-Peri chicken.
