I live in London, and have eaten in quite a few top London restaurants. I visit the Isle of Wight at least once a month; I try to keep to the west of the Island, mainly to be able to dine in Saltys. This place is not just about great food, but also a wonderful dining experience. If you are packed to the rafters on a Friday lunch time, try the Dover sole, cooked to perfection, or the straight forward fish and chips. Though it’s not cheap with £30 to £40 per head, including wine, last time I was there I had a really lovely bottle of ‘Madoc’, but, ‘you get what you pay for’ and this place is worth every penny.
