Inspired by 'real' Spain's new wave of stylish bars which combine tapas with cocktails and music, Salvador & Amanda captures their vibrancy: relaxed and informal, where a cosmopolitan café crowd can linger over a long drink or eat as little or as much as they like until the small hours.

Spanish head chef, Daniel Baturone has a wealth of culinary experience having worked for both Gordon Ramsay (senior chef de partie) and Marco Pierre White (senior sous chef) before joining Salvador & Amanda. His new menu focuses on traditional tapas and with over 30 dishes there's something to suit every taste.

Interesting dishes such as suckling pig's kidneys in sherry sauce with rice; monkfish with artichokes and black olives; and paprika loin of pork with caramelised apples sit alongside traditional favourites including gambas al ajillo, pimientos de pardon, tortilla Espanola and the ubiquitous patatas bravas.

Lovers of Spain's signature dish, paella should make tracks to Salvador & Amanda on Tuesday evenings when they offer this traditional favourite for just £8.50 per person for a minimum of two diners.

With a passionate and highly creative bar team, the drinks list will appeal equally to cocktail connoisseurs and lovers of Spanish wine. Sangria, the perennially popular and vital ingredient of any Spanish holiday has been given a modern twist at Salvador & Amanda. Choose from four equally delicious and potent varieties including the sangria deluxe, a sparkling option made with cava, strawberry purée, orange juice, strawberry schnapps, home made all spice sugar and drunken fruits or the Diablo sangria - a delicious mix of Spanish red wine, Soberano brandy, lemonade, citrus juices, fruits of the forest, cranberry juice and raspberry schnapps.

Spanish inspired must-try cocktails include the hot and spicy Mariachi, tequila and agavero liqueur shaken with mango, lemongrass, citrus juice, coconut cream and dried chilli, served straight up with a sprinkle of smoked paprika; the Menta, mint, fresh apple juice and vanilla sugar, shaken with soberano Spanish brandy and apple schnapps, and the bartender favourite the El Torito - Appleton V/X rum, Spanish pear and vanilla schnapps, home made vanilla sugar, fresh pear puree and apple juice.

The Spanish and New World wine list features a variety of reasonably priced wines including a selection of white and rosé cavas, a choice of champagne and of course the perfect accompaniment to Spanish food, Tio Pepe Extra Dry Fino both by the glass and bottle.
