I visit Salvo's on a regular basis - at least once every two to three months. The food is always excellent and the range of fresh local food is testament to the restaurant knowing good produce when they see it. As of yet I've never had a bad meal, and I've been going since 1997, the service has always been extremely good, and the atmosphere lively. I've taken friends, family, partners and held business meetings over lunch and dinner. I can honestly say that Salvo's is one of my favourite restaurants in the UK so far - and I eat out an awful lot. Try anything from the specials menu and you'll be blown away. I nearly always order the pizza marinara as a starter – yummy!
Drabble (16 December 2009)
I popped in with my missus this Monday having not been there for a couple of years. Yes, we had to wait for a good hour, but were happy to have a few drinks and the atmosphere is always great. The wait was well worth it though; the food was to die for, especially the funghi ravioli, good wine and attentive, friendly but not intrusive service. If you want truly great Italian food, in an authentic Italian atmosphere then look nowhere else. Spot on!
