Salvo's Restaurant Description

One of the most popular restaurants in Leeds, always cheerful and buzzing with life, but do note that you cannot book for dinner. For real pizza and pasta fans, this is for you, as the permutations are truly amazing and full of delicious ingredients. If you are looking for extra value then the pre 7 pm Early Bird Menu should suit you with two courses at only £12. The Italian wine list is comprehensive, starting at £12.50 with plenty of unusual gems from Italy's regions.

We dined there on a Saturday evening. After waiting two hours to be seated, it took a further forty-five minutes to be served our main courses. We were disappointed with the service and food. It appeared that no one was in charge of the dinner service and when we complained we did not receive an apology, but were simply told that we would not be charged for some items.

Salvos - what can one say! It is consistently excellent, offers a wide ranging menu, using a mix of local and Italian sourced ingredients. The staff are good and service discrete, even at busy times. It’s worth arriving early for a drink at the bar and you can’t book small groups. Salvos is a legend at Leeds, and deserves to be so. The only flip side is that you can't book.
