Santini is a very smart Italian restaurant just off Eaton Square. The owner Gino Santini has now turned over the running of the restaurant to his daughter, who is seeing that standards of both food and service are kept to their original high standards, which so they should be with many starters at around the £14 mark and main courses around £20. From the selection of appetizers the fresh crab salad with asparagus, olive oil and lemon, or the lightly fried zucchini flowers filled with mozzarella, are definitely both worth trying. Popular main course options include pan fried calves liver with mashed potato, steamed filled of sea bass with a herb and balsamic dressing, or home-made tonnarelli pasta with lobster and chives. Desserts are all priced at £6.50 and include a delightfully authentic tiramisu.
