For what you get on your plate at Scott's, the food is simply far too expensive and not good enough. It's passable, yes, but that's all, and if you're paying at least fifty pounds a head, passable simply isn't passable. Their dressed crab was dull, the monk fish uninspiring and lamb chops tasteless and poor in texture. The scallops with pumpkin were reasonable but the apple pie was vaguely warm and extremely disappointing. We had a pleasant evening in the lovely dining room, but the message I'd like people to take from this review is - go and have a nice time, sure, but if it's great food you are after, go somewhere else.
