Sea Pebbles Description

Sea Pebbles has probably achieved its ambition to attract fish and chips aficionados from Hatch End and even beyond. The atmosphere of the restaurant is in line with its name - hand painted murals on the walls and a sky effect on the ceiling - the marine theme is hard to avoid. So step in to enjoy some cod or haddock encrusted in light crispy batter with golden chips and a delicately sour tartar sauce.

The matzo meal made of matzo bread, a traditional Jewish food, is a special ingredient used there; this explains the zesty flavour of the salty dishes. Weight-watchers need not be baffled at the idea of eating batter coated fish as they could ask for it to be grilled. There is a vegetarian menu and a take away service for those who wish to treat their palates to some soft and crunchy delights within the comfort of their home.

Over the last 5 years all of my staff have been having their christmas parties here every year. As their supervisor i asked them to vote where we should have our christmas party this year, and guess what its to b at sea pebbles again.

The quality is amazing. As a trainned chef i would to point out that the fish is very white and the batter is always thin but dry and crispy, which makes the best fish and chips. Also i would like to point out that every time we have been its never been greasy the plate is oil free not a drop, truly the best fish and chips in the world.

This was our second visit to this restaurant; we went on a Saturday with my Italian mother-in-law and she thought it was marvellous. Personally for me as a Northerner, this is the best fish and chips I have tasted since I visited Whitby years ago, I can't pay any higher compliment than that. They had a good atmosphere on our visit, it was busy and the staff were very nice.
