Located on the corner of St. Nicolas Street within the Royal Hotel, the Sea View Restaurant was recognised for its fine cuisine in 2008 by the Michelin Guide which accorded it 'recommended' status. Guests can get a good start to their day with a light continental selection or the traditional full English breakfast. A three-course table d'hôte menu sets them up nicely at lunchtime. For dinner, they can choose between the table d'hôte and à la carte menus which include such dishes as oak smoked salmon cornets, prawn, tuna and cherry tomato platter, 8oz fillet steak with cream of mushroom sauce, grilled halibut steak with prawns and curried mango chicken with rice. A Stilton, Wensleydale and Cheddar cheese platter gives the meal a flavourful end.
