Seafood Cafe

45 Fore Street, St Ives, TR26 1HE

The modern, stylish Seafood Cafe offers a new concept in dining, as each day they have a selection of fresh local fish and shellfish, prime Cornish meats and free-range poultry. You simply make your choice from their refrigerated display cabinets, tell them how you would like it cooked, and then add your choice of sauce, potatoes, salad and vegetables. At lunch there is a selection of simpler choices like fresh mussels, steamed with shallots, garlic, white wine and cream; fillets of local mackerel, grilled and served with summer leaves and walnut and beetroot relish; baked Newlyn cod with a three cheese and bacon crust, served with parmesan mashed potato; fish and chips beer battered and served with caper mayonnaise; black tiger prawns wrapped in noodles and wok fried with sweet chilli dressing and Seafood Cafe fish pie local white fish and creamy mashed potato served with herb bread; these are served at prices between £8 and £12 a dish.

REVIEWS OF Seafood Cafe

Rachael (8 March 2009)

Fantastic food – it’s without doubt my favourite restaurant ever. Every time I visit St Ives, I make sure I visit this restaurant at least once. The seafood kebab is amazing.

Parkes (30 July 2008)

We have eaten at the Seafood Café each year for the last eight years and our trip to Falmouth each time has to include a day in St Ives purely to eat lunch at this lovely place. Excellent food, lovely place and the members of staff are always clean and professional. I will be going again tomorrow.
