Seaport Restaurant Description
Seaport is a friendly little Seymour Place restaurant popular among families and young people because of its relaxed, cosy and romantic environment, not to forget the good food. The place comes alive with candlelight and soft background music in the evening and customers enjoy dishes of fresh seafood created with Mauritian, Chinese, Indian, Creole and Mediterranean influences.
À la carte, lunch and set menus offer dishes perfected by Mauritian born Chef George Ngyutin, also renowned as one of the top fishmongers in town. The chef's special, created once a week, is loved by diners who can also choose and watch their favourite fish being prepared to their liking.
A carefully chosen list of mainly French wines complements the food well.
A private dining room seating up to sixty people with its own private bar is ideal for party bookings.

My husband and I went to the Seaport restaurant on Saturday and were extremely pleased with the food and the ambiance of the restaurant. The members of staff were also excellent and made my husband and I very welcome. The fish was outstanding and there was such a lovely choice, the red mullet had just been delivered at 5.30 that afternoon. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and when we next come up to London we will no doubt be visiting Seaport again.

As fish is a great favourite of both my husband and I, we were expecting great things of Seaport given George's past reputation from the Beau Rivage and many years of running the Golborne fishmongers. We were not disappointed, the freshest halibut ever, a genuinely tasty fish soup, huge tiger prawns, wonderful squid, delicious sauces, the superlatives are not enough. Why this restaurant is not packed, I do not know, maybe he needs to spread his net wider and catch more than just regular customers!
