Having just visited Seasons for a Sunday carvery I can safely say I am completely underwhelmed. Exquisite carvery? I don't think so. We had won the meal for four as a prize and as such can't complain about the price, £17.95, but if I was paying, I would ask for a full refund. Upon arrival I found the restaurant to be very cold. Something I heard another group complain about. We too complained but nothing seemed to be done about it. Starters were 'adequate' with a choice of two quite tasty soups and some pâté that had seen better days. So, on to the carvery. The meat and fish selection was okay and the beef that I had was very tasty. The accompanying vegetables were, however, awful. The vegetables were undercooked and very dry from being uncovered under the hot lights. The Yorkshire puddings were flat, small and hard. When we asked if there were any more we were looked at as if we spoke a foreign language. We then looked for some horseradish sauce and were told they had none. This is the Hilton for goodness sake. You're serving roast beef, in a carvery on a Sunday and you have no horseradish sauce. Unforgivable in my books! Dessert, likewise, was adequate at best - two types of fruit flan, a trifle and a fruit salad. As said at the beginning of the review for £18 I would have been disgusted with my meal. I was hoping, having never eaten in the Hilton, to have come away with good memories of eating there. I am, however, in no rush to return any time soon.
