Seniors

Those of you who like traditional fish and chip shops will love Seniors because that's exactly how it is modelled - wooden floors and well laid out tables and chairs in a bright and modern dining area - large mirrors announce catch of the day and the specials.

With a mission statement 'to bring the fish experience to as many people as possible', Seniors remains focussed on serving customers well, accomplished by well trained staff, a welcoming environment and quality food.

Fish such as turbot, brill, Dover sole, megrim, pollock, red mullet, catfish, langoustines and squid appear on the specials board, all served under the watchful eyes of owner Rick Horabin. Choose between Rick's square meal deal of lightly battered seasonal fish served with chips, mushy peas, a slice of bread with tea or coffee or build your own plate with choices such as prime fillet of cod, haddock, hake, John Dory or plaice; steak and kidney pudding, pie, burgers, breaded scampi, or goujons of monk tail.

Desserts take in apple pie and cream, and Bonds of Elswick ice cream.
