Shanghai Blues Description
Set within a Grade II-listed former library in Holborn, Shanghai Blues is a split-level Chinese restaurant and bar with a pared-down yet luxurious appearance. A stunning three-room interior, decorated with silk awnings and antique furniture adds to the mellow, intimate dining ambience. The restaurant also has a mezzanine level overlooking the main bar and dining room area.
The skilled Chinese kitchen team concentrates on traditional, regional Shanghai cuisine, with signature dishes for dim sum and seafood lovers. These include eel fillets in honey barbecue sauce and emperor's dim sum with abalone, sea cucumber and shark's fin.

Wow, the only word I can find which does any justice to the food in this place is spectacular. If you come away from there feeling hungry, you've definitely not done it right! The service is attentive and, though pricey, you get what you pay for. The jasmine tea ice cream is especially noteworthy - I was in heaven!
