Shanghai Nights Restaurant

Here is a recently opened experience well calculated to make the burgers of Bristol sit up. The concept is a restaurant and VIP bar. Nothing much new there you say, but wait until you encounter their fine oriental dining, as different from Flung Dungs Diner as Monday to Saturday. There's an attractive dim sum menu but it's the a la carte you should steer towards for the full experience. Though it is worth mentioning that their dim sum are rated so highly that they are even supplying them to other restaurants as far away as London and Plymouth, however, for the freshest made, obviously Shanghai Nights is the place!

Most of the standard oriental offerings are there but what makes it exciting is the range of dishes that are new to many of us. Try the deep fried eel with honey and black pepper, or the braised chicken, with chestnut and dried shitake claypot. What is described as the seriously sexy lounge bar may serve as a haven before or after the meal but it certainly will not be long enough to let you work your way through the impressive cocktails list.
