The main dining room of the Shapes Restaurant in Bankhead Avenue is resplendent with gilt-framed mirrors, Italian marble floors, leather seating and a baby grand piano in the corner. An elegant private dining room can seat up to 16 people. The winner of the monthly prize draw enjoys lunch for two.

Morning coffee and afternoon tea is served with a choice of biscuits, toast or scones with preserves. Dinner on Saturday nights only features dishes such as toasted goat’s cheese with beetroot vinaigrette and potted crab with dressed leaves for starters and pan seared king scallops with a tomato and caramelised onion salsa and oven roasted loin of Perthshire venison with root vegetable mash for mains. You can sign off with sweet treats, chocolate nemesis with mascarpone and hazelnut praline or spiced plum and vanilla crème brûlée. Weekday casual lunchtime fare such as salmon, chives and spring onion fishcakes, chicken liver parfait, smoked bacon Caesar salad and fish of the day is available from the bistro menu. The extensive list of New and Old World wines will warm the heart of wine aficionados.
