My wife and I with two of my friends enjoyed a delightful lunch here today. The food was good and the service was friendly and efficient. We felt the prices were about right and would certainly come to Sheila's Cottage again. A local shop assistant recommended the restaurant and we are grateful to her.

An unassuming restaurant tucked away in a little side street of Ambleside. It’s got very rustic interior which is warm and welcoming. It has fantastic range of specialist teas. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced for the quality of food one receives. The presentation, taste and quality of the produce steers one to believe that Gordon Ramsay himself might well be in the kitchen. It is a must visit restaurant the will remain in the memory and for me is easily the best eating out venue in Ambleside.
