Shell Bay Seafood Restaurant Description
For those who have been to the Caribbean and relished the shacks and snacks of coastal living Shell Bay may well rouse a few fond memories. This is al fresco dining in the true meaning of the style. There is a separate bistro menu and bar for those who want it even more informal. Try and go on a good day, there is shelter at other times but the whole thing is designed for relaxing in the sun, taking in the stunning views as the children paddle in the shallows a few yards away. The seafood is of very high quality with a good menu range and they are fully licensed, with house wine from £10, so after lunch it's forty winks on the sand, but don't forget those children.

What a disappointment! As a family, we can say that on both occasions that we have eaten there we have been badly treated by the unhelpful owner and manager. Two years ago he would not allow us ice when my five year old daughter was suffering from heat stroke unless we bought a bottle of spring water. We decided to try the restaurant again this year, but not again. This time he would not allow us to use the restaurant toilets after moving from the restaurant to the garden after our group of six had spent in excess of £400. No more Shell Bay.

We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The fish is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Delicate flavours enhance the food and every course is a culinary delight. The views are superb and the service friendly and efficient. We have eaten in many places worldwide and this ranks as one of our favourites - so much so that we travel 230 miles to visit!!
