Shoulder of Mutton Inn Description

A traditional 18th-century inn, The Shoulder Of Mutton stands on the edge of the tiny, picturesque village of Kirby Hill and enjoys magnificent panoramic views of Holmedale and beyond. Open log fires burn in the bar areas, where guests may enjoy drinks and bar meals in a relaxing atmosphere, and in the dining room, exposed stone walls and original beams provide the perfect backdrop for enjoying their renowned home cooking.

Real England starts there amidst deep cellars, oak beams, Yorkshire twang and chatter over hand-pulled cask ales such as Cumberland and Black Sheep. A large selection of malt whiskies and a comprehensive wine list are available in warm and friendly surroundings.

They offer B&B Accommodation with full English Breakfast in their five en-suite bedrooms from as little as £30 Single or £38 Double per night. For added convenience the Inn has a large car park.
