This restaurant is a little gem and the food is fantastic there with plenty to choose from and the wine list is very good. If you try the Skerries, I am sure you won't be disappointed. Also the fish selection is great.

We visited Skerries to celebrate our wedding anniversary recently and that visit has prompted me to write my first ever review! Unfortunately for us when we arrived at the venue we were shown into a dining room where we were the only guests as there was a large party occupying the other room.

When we tried to order we were told we couldn't mix and match from the a la carte and fixed price menu - a first time experience for us for apparently the chef had guaranteed a selection that anyone should be able to order from! Eventually my husband gallantly changed his selection so that I could have my first choice. When the food arrived we were very disappointed as it was bland, overcooked and overpriced. The prawns, particularly, were overcooked and appeared frozen rather than fresh and it was not an experience to savour.

We certainly won't hurry back as we paid £71 for two courses plus wine, especially when we couldn't even choose what we wanted.
