Probably the finest fish and chip shop in England! It is packed, friendly and excellent. Having worked at the docks for many years, I have bought, sold, cooked and eaten fish all over the world. Skipjacks is the best of the best! Nothing flashy here, just great food cooked by, what in my opinion, are the masters of their trade. Great value for money, but not cheap as fresh fish is really expensive. Never in life has the best been the cheapest.

In my opinion, the best fish restaurant by far. The restaurant area is completely separate from the take-away so there is no smell of cooking. The portions are enormous and expertly cooked. The grilled fish is also perfect. The two waiters are also expert in their work. I have been going there for many years and have never heard anyone complain.
