I was recently taken to the Smith and Western Grill, Box Hill, Surrey as a surprise by my husband for our daughter's third birthday. When we arrived at this American steak house restaurant I thought to myself this is my husband’s type of place not normally mine. Well, I stand back and have changed my mind 100%. It was really fun, good environment, friendly and above all - really great food. I messed around with the children’s menu for my very fussy eating three year old daughter and the staff did not mind at all. The food is very similar to other restaurants, but the quality is hundred times better. I had a chilli con carne, because I could then share it with my one year old, but what was great was the chilli was mild but they left all the chillies on the side - so you could have it as hot as you liked. I like very hot food and it worked out well for me and my son. The staff were very good about my mixing and matching the children’s menu and my daughter loved her food. She has already asked to go back. So, if you want a nice family fun evening or lunch out, then give this place a go - well worth!

It's always a great family day out when we come to Smith & Western. The food is always good and the staff are very friendly. My kids love it here and it’s always their choice when we ask them where they want to go. Personally I go for the Ribs and my husband loves the burgers. We will continue visiting on a regular basis.
