An American themed restaurant established in 1995, Smith and Western is a family owned group, located in Tunbridge Wells, a little distance away from Camden Park. Formerly Tunbridge West station, the historic Grade II listed building still showcases the original ticket office and clock tower with the authentic theme of the restaurant continuing indoors, in the brightly lit and feisty interiors. The simple wooden tables, walls adorned with Wild West memorabilia, wooden barrels all over the place, an old fashioned bar to one end and an old stone fireplace all add to the décor.

The classic American menu consists of both the traditional as well as fast food options. It includes appetizers of Caesar's salad; and gold rush pan, a dish of chicken wings with mushroom boats, jalapeno peppers and ballyhoo prawns served with dips. Other dishes include steaks of rib eye, sirloin and fillet steak served with cranberry coleslaw, baked potato and homemade fries; smoked butterfly chicken breast; barbeque and chicken burgers; and freshly prepared fajitas.

The food is ably accompanied by an extensive selection of beers, wines and other drinks.
