Softleys Restaurant

2 Market Place, Market Bosworth, CV13 0LE

For a remarkable dining experience in the historic town of Market Bosworth, everyone will heartily agree that Softleys is your best bet. Located in a charming Grade II listed building from the 18th century, this delightful restaurant also offers comfortable accommodation with all the facilities that you come to expect from a reasonably priced hotel. The restaurant is definitely the highlight of the place with its classic decor and fresh food prepared from locally sourced ingredients and of course the warm and welcoming atmosphere. While Sunday lunch has become a huge draw, the à la carte also does very well, offering choices such as scallops wrapped in bacon, black pudding and balsamic reduction either as a starter or main course.

There's also duck breast with gingered sweet potato and dark orange sauce while the premium Scottish fillet steak and hand cut thick chips comes with a choice of four sauces. A rich dark chocolate fudge cake or maybe cheese with celery and grapes is the perfect way to end your meal at Softleys.

REVIEWS OF Softleys Restaurant

Geraldine Wood (24 October 2009)

We visited Softleys on Friday for lunch and arrived at 13:20 to find it bustling with life. We hadn't booked and were lucky enough to find a table. The menu is extensive suiting different tastes and pockets. We opted for the set menu, for starters we had Caesar salad and fig and Parma ham crostini, both were delicious and just the right portion. Next came lamb's liver and roast Shenton lamb with delicious vegetables, finally dessert, treacle tart and bread and butter pudding with apricot and sultanas both served with delicious ice cream. The meal was followed by coffee. Everything was cooked to perfection and they try and source their food from local suppliers. The staff were welcoming and friendly, we didn't leave until after 15:30 but didn't feel rushed and the staff were happy to talk. It's definitely worth a visit and can't wait to return, but will book next time.
