Solo
20 Inverness Street, Camden Town, London, NW1 7HJ
Once an infamous underground haunt, Solo - formerly Bar Solo - now injects a more New York style late night scene, to one of Britain's most celebrated music epicentres on Inverness Street. The upstairs restaurant serves Mediterranean influenced food from 8am until late, assuring that nocturnal appetites are catered for, while other nearby venues may have closed for the night. A mezze platter of Parma ham, roasted chorizo, mixed olives, lemon and oregano halloumi, hummus, spiced tomato bread and falafel could be followed by pork stroganoff, Moroccan braised chicken and whole sea bass roasted in a banana leaf with a sweet pepper salsa. To finish, a passion fruit mousse or homemade vanilla cheesecake with strawberry coulis and cream are recommended.Once an infamous underground haunt, Solo - formerly Bar Solo - now injects a more New York style late night scene, to one of Britain's most celebrated music epicentres on Inverness Street. REVIEWS OF Solo
Caz (13 February 2009)
I went with three friends and we had a great evening. The food was lovely, I had the salmon fishcakes and there was a deal - two courses for a tenner. We hadn't realised that on Wednesdays there was live jazz music and it made for a fantastic atmosphere, not intrusive at all. We will definitely be going again.
Justine (20 January 2008)
This is a great restaurant for brunch on a weekend. For a start, their breakfast menu is available all day and contains some great choices beyond the traditional English breakfast. My favourites are the eggs Benedict, always cooked to perfection with proper parma ham and lots of hollandaise. They also do a fabulous Spanish style breakfast, including chroizo and Serrano ham and an extremely satisfying BLT. They also have a great value two-course set lunch with a variety of Mediterranean dishes. We've never been there in the evening, but plan to do so very soon.

Nando's - London Euston
With quality food, friendly staff, quick service and excellent value for money, Nando's is a great place to eat. Don't expect identikit, pre-fab restaurant interiors which are usually a staple of the larger chains; each restaurant is tailored to its local surroundings and customers, offering up a unique restaurant experience to go with the equally unique taste of legendary, Portuguese, Peri-Peri chicken.
