We have lived in Barnes for twenty years and have seen many changes in the area but this restaurant just goes from strength to strength. We had a big family lunch there last Sunday with three generations from eighty to eight, First of all the restaurant is fresh, warm and welcoming with a really cheery, welcoming fire. The Sunday menu which initially looked expensive was incredible value. We had almost all the menu from traditional moules marinières to a more modern rendition of lamb's sweetbreads. My daughter was thrilled with the roast loin of pork with all the traditional trimmings, My mother was delighted with her lamb and my non meat eating brother felt he lucked out with the monkfish and borlotti beans. Truly a great lunch. We will definitely be back a lot. The staff were friendly and informed, a rare thing in London these days. The wine list has many wines by the glass so we chose maybe twelve different wines. It says a lot for the staff that they were not fazed by our very eccentric ordering. We loved it and hope to be back soon. Go soon.
