Sophie's Steakhouse & Bar - Covent Garden

Sophie's Covent Garden is situated among the area's famous shops, boutiques and theatres, and if you are looking for somewhere different, with that certain New York warehouse ambience, Sophie's is your style. Amongst relaxed and lively company you can enjoy good quality familiar food at prices that won't send your Bank Manager to an early demise.

Á la carte dishes range from starters of a traditional prawn cocktail and a grand 10oz châteaubriand for two, to salmon and haddock fishcakes, and slow-roasted free range chicken. Plan your next gathering there and take time over something with slightly more gravitas. Children are welcome and have their own special menu.

Homemade ice cream and sorbets, and dark chocolate brownie star on the dessert list. Service is prompt and friendly and there's a well-travelled wine list, starting with reasonably priced house wine.

The only drawback is there is no reservations policy, which can lead to quite a wait for a table on busy weekends, so try to get there early.
