Located at Southport Avenue in the heart of Chicago, SoPo is an unassuming but tastefully done 'New York styled' lounge and bar that features a light-hearted atmosphere drawing in the younger crowd as well as an occasional businessman on his way home after work. A small and sophisticated place, the restaurant's black awning hangs over their sidewalk café with people milling around at all times of the day. The interiors are modest and feature a hardwood floor, wooden cocktail tables with a wooden bar to one corner and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Known more for its cocktails, the restaurant also serves a menu that is reasonably priced and offers lots of options.

It includes dishes of Caesar's and Mediterranean salads together with appetizers of grilled chicken satay, and roasted red pepper hummus which make for tasty and interesting fare. The SoPo special burger and bulldog burger with fillings of crispy bacon and chicken with cheese make for other dishes that can be relished.
 
The wine list is comprehensive and varied with guests enjoying martinis and beer while indulging in some of their favourite music.
