Sotheby's Cafe

Sotheby's Cafe is unique in London, as it actually operates inside the Headquarters of the world famous auctioneers. Apart from providing a marvellous meeting point to eat before a sale, the quality is high enough to attract customers from outside, though it is only open for lunch just five days a week. The signature dish is their justifiably renowned lobster sandwich, a wonderful concoction; the menu also could include choices as diverse as Cumberland sausages with fennel, Savoy cabbage, apple, and potato mash with mustard dressing or grilled fillet of salmon with celeriac gratin, crisp green beans, and roasted peppers. Seating is to one side of the main lobby, but spills out into it, space is a little limited but service is pleasant.
