Sous le Nez en Ville Description
This well-established favourite in the heart of Leeds continues to pull the crowds and hardly surprisingly, since it goes on providing what people want at prices which they can afford. There might be less wringing of hands if more restaurant owners heeded this simple recipe. o unnecessary expense has been squandered on fripperies, simplicity rules and the service can hardly be faulted.
A sensible menu satisfies even the most pernickety with its perceptive choices and the early-bird evening option is deservedly popular. Start with the deep-fried Brie with pepper and mango sauce, followed by roast best-end of lamb with Mediterranean-style potatoes and rosemary jus. Try not to miss the white chocolate pate. A complex and rewarding wine list features some really interesting finds, with house wine starting at £9.95.

Westfield (10 June 2008)
In a scale of 1 to 10, I’d probably rate service at 7. The food at 6, only because my wood pigeon was tough, which the maitre d' failed to informed me when I ordered. Otherwise, the starters and puddings were spot on – an absolute delight. I’d rate atmosphere at 4. The interiors were a bit dated so they should probably be rated 5. Toilets weren't properly kept considering it is an acclaimed wine bar and restaurant. Overall, I’d give it 5 and would only go back if somebody else paid for it!

We use this restaurant often and would recommend it. The food is imaginative, beautifully cooked and presented. The service is superb - formal and efficient, yet friendly and fun at the same time. The atmosphere is bustling rather than quiet and the menu is a selection of imaginative dishes that could have come from just about anywhere these days, but the chef has the skill to blend flavours in some unusual ways, which is generally successful. I suggest diners be prepared to experiment. If you want steak Dianne this isn't the restaurant for you nor is it the place for an inexpensive meal but given the quality, its well worth it. The wine list is massive, and by no means unreasonably priced. The evening menu is more or less the same always, with no 'specials'. I think it would be nice to see something new.
