South Cafe is a relaxed and airy restaurant/cafe/bar that's equally popular with local residents and visitors to Manaccan, a charming picturesque village that lies a mile from the Helford River. It opens at 10.30 am for morning coffee and cakes and then continues to offer non-stop hospitality until late into the evening. The menu changes frequently to take full advantage of the wonderful supply of fresh local produce, with a special board changing daily to incorporate the best fish and shellfish from the area, to be enjoyed on chilly days next to the wood burning stove, or when warm, out on the south facing sheltered courtyard garden.Modern British, Modern European

What an amazing find! Tucked away in a beautiful part of Cornwall; we found this little gem. It has such a great atmosphere, the whole building and decor just oozed good taste. Everything is well placed and put together in a fresh and contemporary style, all so pleasing to the eye! They have a fantastic choice from the menu which is wonderfully cooked. We could not fault any part of our meal. Lots of fresh fish and most of the menu were locally sourced. The staff were very friendly and we were able to chat to the owner, who had plenty of time for us too. I would thoroughly recommend South Cafe for lunch or supper and I hear they even serve Cornish cream teas!

What a lovely find, so remote and well worth the effort of getting there from Penzance. I had an excellent lunch and loved the mussels.
