South Cafe Description


South Cafe is a relaxed and airy restaurant/cafe/bar that's equally popular with local residents and visitors to Manaccan, a charming picturesque village that lies a mile from the Helford River.

It opens at 10.30 am for morning coffee and cakes and then continues to offer non-stop hospitality until late into the evening.

The menu changes frequently to take full advantage of the wonderful supply of fresh local produce, with a special board changing daily to incorporate the best fish and shellfish from the area, to be enjoyed on chilly days next to the wood burning stove, or when warm, out on the south facing sheltered courtyard garden.

What a lovely find, so remote and well worth the effort of getting there from Penzance. I had an excellent lunch and loved the mussels.
