Spaghetti House - Haymarket
66 Haymarket, London, SW1Y 4RF
Spaghetti House is the handiwork of two Italians - Lorenzo Fraquelli and Simone Lavarini - who put their love for good Italian food and entrepreneurial skills to the test and decided to open their first outlet on Goodge Street. That was way back in 1955, now you can sense their indomitable Italian spirit in their 10 branches spread across Central London. All the outlets make a distinct impression in terms of décor, and happily intermingle with their surroundings. Spaghetti is definitely the way to go, whether it's the Bolognese or pomodoro e basilico with San Marzano tomatoes and fresh basil sauce, or you could veer into the trofie zone where traditional Genoese short twisted pasta are tossed with cannelloni beans and mussels.Spaghetti House is the handiwork of two Italians - Lorenzo Fraquelli and Simone Lavarini - who put their love for good Italian food and entrepreneurial skills to the test and decided to open their first outlet on Goodge Street. REVIEWS OF Spaghetti House - Haymarket
Joe M (12 March 2009)
I have been to this restaurant a few times but I must say what an improvement since the new manager took over. The members of staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and there was a really buzz about the place that I had not seen before. The manager even took time to speak with us even though he had a full restaurant. I would highly recommend to anyone as the food was very reasonably priced too.

I hadn't been to a Spaghetti House since my twenties and thought I'd revisit. My old haunt had been Goodge Street branch but decided on Haymarket branch as I heard on the grapevine that it had a new manager. Well, I wasn’t disappointed, the food was top notch, seasoned to perfection, and the chef hadn't swamped the food in salt to hide the freshness. It was yum. I ordered verdure arrostite e mozzarella for starters and vongole in bianco for main. Both were very good but I had tried cooking the vongole in bianco at home twice, once with fresh clams and once with frozen ones. The fresh clams were so much better but the Spaghetti House version was by far the best. I even had space for fresh pancakes, which were superb, the members of staff were fantastic too, attentive, entertaining and friendly. Even the manager came over to us and made the effort to spend a little time with us to make sure we enjoyed the night. We all paid about £20, which made it a very reasonable night out in the London's West End. Would I visit again? Oh yes!
