Spaghetti House - St Martin's Lane Description

Spaghetti House is the handiwork of two Italians - Lorenzo Fraquelli and Simone Lavarini - who put their love for good Italian food and entrepreneurial skills to the test and decided to open their first outlet on Goodge Street. That was way back in 1955, now you can sense their indomitable Italian spirit in their 11 braches spread across Central London. All the outlets make a distinct impression in terms of décor, and happily intermingle with their surroundings.

Spaghetti is definitely the way to go, whether it's the Bolognese or pomodoro e basilico with San Marzano tomatoes and fresh basil sauce, or you could veer into the trofie zone where traditional Genoese short twisted pasta are tossed with cannelloni beans and mussels. Explore the Tuscan style of cooking fish and seafood stew with zuppa di pesce alla Toscana, while Umbrian sausages arrive casseroled with lentils and peas.

Spaghetti House can also accommodate groups of up to 200 guests and all outlets are strategically located close to theatres, museums and West End attractions.

Your Reviews of Spaghetti House - St Martin's Lane

Further to the 'other' review I was welcomed with open arms with my children who were kept amused with a Spaghetti House activity book whilst stuffing their faces with amaretti biscuits the waiter was feeding them. Altogether there was a very family friendly atmosphere.

Eberhard Sixt (16 August 2005)

Last Saturday 14th August my wife, my ten year old daughter and I took a walk from our hotel "Swissotel the Howard" for finding a restaurant for dinner. In the St. Martins Lane (it was about 7.30 p.m.) my daughter saw the Spaghetti House and suggested to go in there. Just entering the restaurant the doorkeeper stopped me and told me "no children"!! I really was shocked about this rebuff. No admittance for children in a restaurant named Spaghetti House in London’s West End, what a disgrace!
