Sprayberry's Barbecue had its beginnings as Houston Sprayberry's gas station located on Highway 29 just north of downtown Newnan. By 1926 it was selling enough barbecue sandwiches from the back of the establishment to close the pumps and become a restaurant. With its barbeque sauce and Mattie Lou's Brunswick stew, Sprayberry's Barbecue became Newnan's most popular eating spot.

There's the aristocratic burger, cheese burger topped with salad and French dressing served with steak fries, onion rings and pickles and fried chicken breast sandwich if you are looking for a quick snack. To try the house specials order barbecue platter, served with your choice of pork or beef, Brunswick stew, salad, steak fries, pickles and bread. If you prefer seafood order fried catfish, hand-breaded catfish served with salad, baked potato and hush puppies. End the meal with a fried peach pie and vanilla ice cream.
