St John's Bar & Dining Room Description
St John's is one of the more accomplished London gastro pubs boasting a separate dining area at the rear of the pub complete with open kitchen. There's the obligatory blackboard based menus and you'll find a great atmosphere most nights. Treat yourself to traditional favourites such as steak in a beautifully rich green peppercorn sauce or seared to your liking swordfish on a bed of herbed couscous. Desserts are guaranteed to tempt with you both classic and new taste combinations and as with any self-respecting gastro pub, the wine list will delight.

I don't know where the previous reviewers were eating but I could not believe my eyes! I have eaten many meals at St John's and have never been disappointed. Their food is fabulous, the staff are very attentive and I have taken many friends there and they have all left praising the food. It's one of the best gastropubs in the area.

A truly awful experience! The staff were completely uninterested in serving our table, the food was cold when it arrived and the vegetables were raw. We weren't asked if we wanted any extra drinks whilst we were eating or whether everything was ok. When we refused to pay the £15 service charge because of the lack of service and the quality of the food, the response was a grunt! No questions or apologises! Avoid at all cost.
