A delightful 14th century thatched inn, nestling between Start Bay and the Slapton Nature Reserve, specialising in very informal dining, no reservations are taken, and local seafood, all served at very good value for money prices and somewhere that is extremely family friendly.

We have been going to the Start Bay Inn every summer for the past six years. The food is always superb and the service is friendly and efficient. The fish is the dish to go for and they cook it to perfection. I am already looking forward to going there next year.
