Sugar Hut Village

Legend has it that King Richard II stayed at the White Hart Inn while passing through Brentwood in 1392, a piece of history cherished in what is believed to be the oldest pub in town. Times have changed and now the Sugar Hut stands in its place with expectations soaring as people stream in to watch the fusion of Eastern culture with Western ideals in this once historic setting, which now breathes style and finesse.

The stamp of Thai cuisine is evident in the balancing of flavours and what better way to demonstrate it than choose a bowl of tom yum gai where seafood, kaffir lime leaves, galangal and lemon grass intermingle to create that essential Thai aroma. The menu covers plenty of ground from stir-fried scallops in black pepper sauce and beef in a coconut red curry with eggplant and sweet basil to roast duck and grilled marinated chicken with sweet chilli sauce.

There is plenty of action happening at the Sugar Hut which also houses a night club, bars, private members area and a courtyard.
