The setting is contemporary and relaxed, encouraging customers to make themselves comfortable in the bright yet simple dining area that overlooks secluded landscaped gardens.

Head Chef Lee Rigby uses seasonal and locally sourced produce to achieve a balance of flavours and aromas. An à la carte meal could consist of creamy garlic mushrooms with melted cheese, and chef's homemade pate of the day with melba toast and a port and orange jam. Among mains, fish curry, and a roast butternut, spinach, feta and oven-dried tomato lasagne vie for attention with braised lamb shank with mash and roast jus, and grilled gammon steak with a free-range egg and pineapple.

The drinks list is packed with a short but impressive selection of wines and champagne.
