Drawing heavily upon the film of its name, an icon of the 1960s, the décor has been one of the principal beneficiaries. The overall impression is almost as dramatic as the film. Ken Hom, no less, has produced what some refer to as a Thai grazing menu and very good it is. For Spanish read Thai, except of course that the content is entirely different.

Expect to find lobster summer roll with mango, tian of blue swimmer crab, char grilled ostrich, lamb massaman curry, flash fried frogs' legs, and the eponymous special fried rice. Banana fritters with caramel sauce and glazed mango rice pudding lead well amongst the dessert tapas. All are competitively priced, and a seven-course evening tasting menu costs £39.

A tantalising array of cocktails and martinis fuse western liquors with traditional Thai flavours, whilst the wine list is certainly not for the pecuniarly challenged, even if some of the selections on offer are remarkably good. A few by the glass help ease any problem.
