Tamasha Description
Tamasha is no curry house aimed at the post pub crowd. Instead you'll find discerning diners that relish the old colonial feel and first class cuisine. The menu is impressive and prices not cheap but regulars agree it's definitely worth it. From the chef's recommendations the sarson mach, a dish of fish cooked in a sauce of mustard, red chillies and fresh coriander is particularly good, as is the butter chicken and raan jaipuri, a very tender lamb dish marinated in dark rum, red wine and a special selection of spices, making for a memorable dish indeed.

The food in excellent, however I feel the prices are a bit rich now. £238 for four with wine is a bit steep.

I have been to Tamasha many times over the years. The food, in my opinion, is the best Indian cuisine you will find in Bromley and probably in the whole of South East of London. It may not be to everyone's taste though, since all dishes tend to be much spicier than a regular high street restaurant. The service can be great, especially with bigger groups, but I have noticed the recent tendency to pack in the tables and have had the feeling of being rushed, especially on busy evenings. So let's hope the management's desire to maximise profits does not diminish the overall impression that people take away from this wonderful restaurant.
