With a curious name taken from the place's permanent four-legged resident, The Tamra restaurant is a small and cosy British eatery that is situated less than a kilometre away from the Clapham Junction Station on Northcote Road. Born from a need to create great tasting food which is affordable, the restaurant prepares meals reminiscent of British home cooking using good quality ingredients that are most often seasonally sourced.

The menu offers a free range of organic and locally sourced meat from the famous London butchers, William Rose, as well as fresh seafood. The dishes include house specialities such as salad niçoise, a dish of seared tuna steak on a bed of new potatoes, red onions, fine beans, capers, olives and boiled eggs or pan fried free range chicken breast and morel mushroom sauce and slow cooked lamb shanks on a bed of parmesan mash and caramelised fennel.
