Tao Bar & Restaurant Description
This sleek and stylish bar and restaurant in Bow Lane presents diners with an opportunity to sample a unique combination of Oriental and European cuisine. The bar is done up in shades of bold red and blue, and customers can linger on comfortable couches and bar stools. The basement dining room is quite spectacular, with tables over two levels and a private dining room that accommodates fourteen people.
The bar menu offers inexpensive express style lunches, dinner and quick bites while you could come across dishes such as salt and pepper squid, crispy duck, and homemade chicken liver pâté as starters on the restaurant menu. Mains could include pastas and noodles as well as braised shank of lamb with risotto Milanese, Thai prawn curry, and Parmigiana bake with layered aubergine, courgette, buffalo mozzarella and parmesan.
Attractive surroundings, accompanied by a large courtyard for summer evenings have made Tao a popular destination to spend enjoyable evenings of fun, food and drink.

Tao is very different to a lot of the restaurants in the city. I had no idea they had a courtyard. I am in the process of planning a client BBQ and Tao are top of the list at the moment. I ate lunch here and sat in the secluded courtyard... very nice on a warm spring afternoon.
