Tate Modern Restaurant

In the same way that visitors come to the Tate Modern as much to witness the magnificent conversion of this old power station as they do to view its art, the restaurant is as popular for its food as it is for its views. Being located on the seventh floor gives diners clear views of the Thames and London landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral and the London Eye.

The menu features dishes such as baked aubergine and vine tomatoes with sweet pepper pesto, salt-crusted cod with haricot beans and chorizo, or the simple but delicious haddock with chips, all of which are well worth taking your eyes off the view for. Many praise their breakfasts, with lovely pastries like croissants and petit pain au chocolat, and their innovative wine list. They are now taking bookings, but are only open in the evening on Friday and Saturday.
