REVIEWS OF Taylor's Restaurant
Lenora (2 March 2010)
My husband and I went to Dartmouth for the weekend to celebrate my 50th Birthday and our wedding anniversary. My husband had booked a meal at Taylors several weeks before and had mentioned that we were celebrating a special occasion. On our arrival we were placed in the window with a beautiful view over the river. The staff were very friendly and wished me a happy birthday. The food I must say was excellent, I had the prawns in batter and my husband had the mussels to start. My husband had the Steak with peppercorn sauce and I had the sea bass for our main meals and to my surprise when I looked at my well presented sea bass, I could see the numbers 50 delicately placed which were two chips cut out in numbers and had been cooked and placed on my plate by the chef as a token for my birthday. How nice and personal was that? The food was the best I have tasted in a long time the portions were very generous, so much so that we couldn't manage a dessert. We both had liqueur coffees instead. I am so glad I read the reviews before going to Dartmouth and glad we chose a non celebrity restaurant! We will definitely be recommending this restaurant to family and friends and we will go again next time we are in Dartmouth.

We went for a meal with friends last week to Taylors Restaurant and had a really lovely meal. The food and service was excellent, the restaurant has a nice feel to it and we managed to sit at one of the window tables. I would definitely go there again, it was so nice to have such good food, especially for me as I am vegetarian, a very special evening out.
