As Nashville's only certified green restaurant, Tayst is miles ahead of others in its league using absolutely fresh and of course, local produce in their dishes to create some very delicious food. Numerous accolades have come their way and there are some formidable food critics amongst their many admirers too. Gentleness seems to be an aspect which quite explains the ethos of Tayst, be it in their décor with its simple sophisticated style or their menu which aims to please the palate while significantly reducing the carbon footprint.

Tayst takes their commitment with local produce to a new high altogether, proudly and prominently displaying the names of their suppliers on a board outside, leading to the restaurant. Dishes could typically include beef short rib and foie gras, fresh salads with aragula or baby greens with sun dried cherry vinaigrette. There's also trout with grits and pepper relish, chicken with potato pancakes and lamb with chestnuts and fennel.
