The orginal Tayyabs was opened by Mr. Mohammed Tayyab in East London in early 1974 and quickly became a success, serving traditional Pakistani Punjabi food, all their meat is 100% Halal. Theirs is a refreshing approach to a sometimes neglected cuisine, with an emphasis on simplicity. Basic décor and accoutrements provides the setting for authentic, straightforward Pakistani Punjabi food - but what flavours and finesse! Prices are more than reasonable, in fact they are a bit of a bargain given the quality level. No alcohol is available but you are welcome to bring your own, without corkage.
