When running through the list of culinary options available before deciding on a restaurant, Georgian style cuisine would hardly spring to mind. However, Tbilisi has based its food around just that, traditional Georgian (though we didn't have a cuisine to fit it, so it ended up as Eastern European/Russian) food, not at Georgian prices exactly but pretty good value anyhow. Dishes include plenty of hearty stews, like a spicy beef one with tomatoes, onions and other vegetables, interesting salads and long forgotten greats such as chicken in a decadently rich walnut sauce.
