I have been there numerous times over the years and have always found the food excellent and service really friendly. The new owner has a good sense of humour and is very welcoming. The food is good value, very well presented and plenty of it. I've studied for food hygiene certificates and haven't had any cause for complaint regarding cleanliness there and I certainly don't think the fact that no hairnets are worn is unique to this charming village tea room.
