Pork and pistachio terrine, or jamon de teruel, with a choice of great Gamay wines can get your evening off to a great start. It is an intimate wine bar near Charing Cross serving the most delicious plates to accompany brilliant natural wines, and vice versa. The menu is mostly tapas-sized portions. Choose from charcuterie, the duck rillettes are fantastic, or assemble a table-load of goodies ranging from garlicky snails and bacon, smoked eel with celeriac remoulade, spiky steak tartare or duck egg with girolles. It's gutsy, earthy and ever so tasty. The wine list is legendary, a huge document, wittily annotated with a mind-boggling selection of biodynamic and low sulphur wines from the reference growers in their respective regions. The service is informed and efficient. Bravo, Terroirs!
